We may have only just hit August, and you are probably busy snapping up items for your summer wardrobes, but if you really want to stay ahead of the fashion pack you need to be thinking about Autumn/Winter right now! The new clothing and accessories for the new season are already starting to hit stores, and are actually transitional enough to carry you all the way through the next six months in style.

So, here are the AW15 fashion trends that you need to know about:

Wild Thing
Faux fur began to creep into our wardrobes last winter, but this winter it is literally exploding all over it! From Matthew Williamson, to Louis Vuitton, through Lanvin and Simone Rocha ? faux fur was everywhere. Look for curly sheep wool gilets in bold bright colours, and abominable snowman jackets in white, black and leopard. If head to toe fur isn?t your thing then nod to the trend subtly with a fur panel on your coat or knit. Alternatively, you can avoid the fake fur altogether, and go down the animal print route instead.

80?s Style
Every season seems to take its inspiration from a particular fashion decade, and AW15 is no exception. The decade of choice for AW15 is the 80s! So get ready to dust off your leg warmers and wear glitter with everything! Most seen on the catwalks were power padded shoulders, ruffles and huge retro elastic belts with everything. The fabric of choice for party outfits was that old favourite ? Lurex.

Boho Is Back
Yes, the boho 70s trend is rumbling on into the second half of the year too. There is more of a folk feel to winter than the glam rock of spring. We?re talking paisley print, maxi dresses worn with waistcoats, quilted floral jackets, patchwork leggings and fringes on everything. The key piece from this trend is the Poncho ? great for buying now and throwing on on the cooler summer nights.

Dark Victoriana
Another trend that rears its head winter after winter is the gothic trend, and this year is no different. There is a more decadent Victorian feel to this year?s gothic pieces, with plenty of velvet and moody lace being shown on the catwalks. Frills were everywhere ? from collars, to dress hems, even on shoes. Pair with period drama hair and dark lips to really glam up this look.

Red Alert
Red seems to be the colour for AW15 ? it was spotted on practically every catwalk ? from Dior to Christopher Kane. Pick whichever shade of this hue suits you best ? crimson, scarlet, ketchup or traffic light and make a statement by wearing it from head to toe. If top to toe Bold?s aren?t your thing, then pair one item with a more neutral shade ? but pick camel instead of black to really stay ahead of the fashion pack this winter.

Bold and Bright
The most vibrant of the new season?s trends, and maybe the hardest to pull off, is the vivid graphic patterns that appeared in every colour imaginable, at all four fashion weeks! From black & white chequerboard prints at Valentino to orange tunics & leggings adorned with grey and black swirls at Dior you can send people into a daze if you rock this trend head to toe. Perhaps try dipping your toe in the water first with just one patterned piece broken up with some clever colour blocking.
